Project Overview:

  • Design Firm: Arcedior
  • Completion Date: November 2022
  • Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India
  • Size: 3,000 sqft
  • Population: 30

The design of the Arcedior office is a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. The space is designed to maximize productivity and comfort for the employees while creating a modern and attractive workplace.

One of the significant features of the design is the use of natural light. Large windows and skylights have been incorporated throughout the office to bring in plenty of sunlight, providing a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The open floor plan allows for easy collaboration between team members, with ample workspace and comfortable seating areas.

The color palette is neutral, with shades of beige, grey, navy blue and earthen shades creating a soothing and calming environment. Accents of bold colors have been used in the form of artwork and accessories, adding a pop of interest to the space. The use of high-quality materials such as wood, stone, and metal add a touch of sophistication and elegance to the overall design.

The Arcedior office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring that employees have access to the tools they need to be productive. From ergonomic chairs to soundproofed private offices, every detail has been considered to promote comfort and efficiency. There is also a spacious break room, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, where employees can relax and recharge during their breaks.

Overall, the design of the Arcedior office is a harmonious combination of form and function. It creates a welcoming, modern and efficient workspace, perfectly suited to the needs of today’s fast-paced business environment. The design is truly a testament to the creativity and attention to detail of the team.

Project Planning

The Arcedior C-suite played a crucial role in the project planning and execution, ensuring that the new workspace aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Employee input was highly valued throughout the design process, and the team incorporated several employee requests into the final design, such as:

  • A whiteboard in the conference room for team activities
  • The use of a large screen commercial TV for leisure activities
  • Separate restroom for female employees
  • Break room for lunch and team discussions
  • Use of four-screen-sharing feature in conference room TV for team to work on projects together

Moreover, the design team incorporated unique design requirements based on special research, resulting in an innovative workspace that showcased the company’s expertise and global reach. For instance, the team brainstormed how to present a world map in a different way at the reception area, which led to the use of the company logo to showcase projects done in different countries.

These design decisions aimed to create a comfortable and engaging workspace that met the needs and preferences of employees, resulting in a highly functional and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Project Details

The project incorporates several health and wellness initiatives and furnishings to ensure that the space is comfortable and conducive to the well-being of the employees. The use of HDHMR green ply, a plywood material, contributes to a sustainable and eco-friendly workspace. Usage of indoor planters and aroma diffusers in every area to maintain the air quality and keep the work environment stress-free. Office pantry is equipped with appliances that provide health benefits.

All the areas including workstations & private cabins are equipped with built-in speakers in order to provide a relaxing environment through music. The lights profiles with narrow angle of 45⁰ are used so that light doesn’t come directly into the eyes of the person using the space.

The Arcedior space also includes various automation features based on KNX technology such as lighting, curtains, and doors to improve convenience and energy efficiency. The lighting features are dimmable-tunable and designed to support the Human circadian cycle. The use of modular furniture ensures that the space is comfortable and supports ergonomics. Comfy chairs and adjustable worktables with height adjustment features further enhance the employees’ working experience.

One of the most unique features of the space is the maximum ceiling height of 11.5 ft and door height of 10 ft as, which makes the workspace grander and more open, so that the working environment doesn’t feel congested or closed. The sleek 18 mm profiles of partitions and doors with DGU double glass add to the aesthetic appeal of the space. The laminates used in the interiors are ultra-premium from Luvih and Fenix laminates with a smooth touch and feel, scratch resistance, and durability. Bookshelves and cabinets were made using crown cut ash oak dyed open grain veneer to provide a rich look to the furniture.

The project also incorporates various branding elements, such as the brand’s colors and logo, which are incorporated into the workstation partitions and reception table. The furniture and interiors are selected to match the brand’s theme of golden and blue. In order to reflect the company culture through interiors, the design team used wall paintings as a medium. With the help of artists, the team got handmade paintings which exhibit the culture charter and goals of the organization. Bespoke customization was done for carpets, area rugs & storage cabinets to blend with the theme of the project.
